I cant even begin to tell you how incredible this dish smells while cooking in my home! My mouth starts to water just thinking about it. I really wish we had some sort of scratch and sniff options for the internet. Maybe one day… but until that happens you will have to try this recipe for yourself. You will not be disappointed. My Beef Bourguigon is a French dish and is a rustic rich comfort classic that your whole family will love. Its perfect for those cold winter nights, so go grab that book you want to read, cozy up and this recipe will take care of itself!
6 shallots, roots removed and peeled
2 Tbsp olive oil
2 Tbsp butter
4 slices bacon chopped
2 carrots, chopped

4 cloves garlic crushed
1/4 cup of all purpose flour (can substitute with gluten free flour)

3.) In same pan, cook shallots, garlic, carrots, mushrooms and bacon. Keep stirring until shallots are browned.
4.) Sprinkle flour over mixture and cook until the flour thickens.
5.) Gradually add your stock, then the wine stirring over medium heat until mixture boils.
6.) Return beef to the pot with the juices. Add bay leaves and thyme. Bring to a boil.
7.) Reduce heat, simmer covered for about 2 1/2 hours. Make sure to stir every 30 minutes.
8.) Remove from heat and remove bay leaves. Serve with a side of potatoes, rice or egg noodles. Viola enjoy 😀
