Sip Into Spring: Strawberry Citrus Spritzer Mocktail
#AD There’s something magical about the arrival of Spring—the longer days, the sunshine warming your skin, and the beautiful abundance of fresh seasonal produce. To celebrate the season of renewal and vibrant flavours, I’m excited to introduce my Strawberry Citrus Spritzer Mocktail – a light, refreshing drink that’s as beautiful as it is delicious.
This delightful mocktail is bursting with natural sweetness from juicy, ripe @castrawberries, one of my favourite local seasonal ingredients. Paired with the zesty brightness of citrus—think oranges, lemons, and limes—and just a touch of fresh mint, it’s a sparkling sip that awakens the senses. Whether you’re hosting a brunch, enjoying a picnic in the park, or just soaking up the sun on your patio, this mocktail is the perfect companion.
What I love most about this drink is how simple it is to make, yet how elegant it looks when served. It’s naturally sweetened, hydrating, and alcohol-free, making it ideal for everyone to enjoy. You can even jazz it up with a splash of soda water or kombucha for an extra effervescent twist.
So grab a glass, muddle some strawberries, squeeze in that citrus, and top it off with a sprig of mint. Then take a moment to sip, relax, and enjoy the delicious, vibrant essence of Spring in every single sip.
Ingredients Breakdown:
🍓 1 cup Fresh California Strawberries, washed & sliced
These juicy gems are the star of the show. California strawberries are known for their incredible natural sweetness and vibrant red hue. When sliced and slightly muddled, they release their fresh juices, adding a fruity base to your mocktail. Plus, they’re packed with vitamin C and antioxidants—so not only do they taste amazing, they’re good for you too!
🍊 1/2 Orange, juiced
Orange juice adds a sweet and sunny citrus flavour that balances beautifully with the tartness of lemon and lime. It gives the drink a burst of natural sweetness and vibrant colour, reminiscent of springtime blooms and morning sunshine.
🍋 1/2 Lemon, juiced
Fresh lemon juice brings a bright, tangy kick that wakes up your taste buds and adds a layer of refreshing acidity. It’s the perfect way to enhance the flavours of the strawberries while keeping the drink crisp and balanced.
🍈 1/2 Lime, juiced
Lime juice gives the mocktail a subtle tropical twist and a zesty punch. It rounds out the citrus trio and adds complexity to the flavour profile—slightly tart, slightly sweet, and totally refreshing.
💧 1 cup Sparkling Water (or more for desired fizz)
Bubbly and refreshing, sparkling water gives this mocktail its signature effervescence. It lightens up the fruit juices and makes each sip feel playful and uplifting. You can add more or less depending on how fizzy you like your drinks.
🌿 1–2 sprigs Fresh Mint, plus extra for garnish
Mint leaves add an herbaceous, cooling note that pairs perfectly with strawberries and citrus. Lightly muddling the mint helps release its essential oils, elevating the whole drink with a burst of fresh aroma. Don’t forget to save a few sprigs for that picture-perfect garnish!
🍁 Optional: 1–2 tsp Maple Syrup (or to taste)
Want a touch more sweetness? A drizzle of maple syrup brings a warm, natural sweetness that blends seamlessly with the fruit. It’s a great refined sugar–free option and adds a subtle depth of flavour without overpowering the delicate notes of the strawberries and citrus.
This ingredient list is a celebration of freshness, balance, and seasonal ingredients—perfect for a springtime sip. Let me know if you’d like to include substitutions (like agave, honey, or flavoured sparkling water) or tips on turning this into a pitcher-style drink for a crowd!
