Say hello to my Greek Feta Chicken Meatballs. They are so easy to make and packed full of flavour! Both loved by adults and kids. These meatballs are high in protein with healthy fats and they are great for a fun weeknight dinner. These chicken meatballs are great by themselves, but they are best served with veggies, or a Greek salad. Best dipped into a Tzatziki sauce.

You only need a few ingredients so let’s get started.

  • Ground Chicken or Turkey- extra lean protein
  • Red onion- gives the meatballs an extra layer of flavour
  • Garlic- fresh garlic is best but you can also use garlic powder
  • Feta- helps keep the meatballs moist
  • Fresh herbs- use can add oregano, parsley and basil
  • Bread crumbs- I prefer to use gluten free breadcrumbs for easier digestion
  • Fresh Eggs- organic or sourced from a local farm is best
  • Tzatkiki or hummus works best for dipping these yummy meatballs in

I kind of have this obsession with Greek food. I grew up loving trips to Greek Town in Toronto to taste authentic Greek food. I think the reason being is that Mediterranean food is packed with lots of fresh vegetables and herbs, bold lemon and garlic flavours. Also it is something I can eat over and over again and not feel sick after.

I love prepping these Greek Feta Chicken Meatballs on a Sunday night and I have a quick protein packed lunch or snack for my week. Top with hummus or tzatkiki for maximum flavour.

Greek Meatballs Quick Tips:

  1. Use a cookie dough scooper to form perfect meatballs every time. Scoop and then roll with hands.
  2. You can roast these meatballs in the oven or alternatively cook them in an air fryer for approximately 20 minutes. Make sure to flip half way through so the balls cook evenly through-out.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground chicken
  • 1 cup red onion diced
  • 1/2 cup feta crumbled
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup parsley chopped
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup gluten free bread crumbs
  • 1/2 tsp salt and pepper
  • Optional: Tzatziki sauce to dip

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Add onion and garlic to a food processor.
  • Add chicken, feta, fresh parsley, oregano, S&P, egg, breadcrumbs to Food processor and pulse until combined.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and scoop out chicken mixture into balls. (Makes approx 16)
  • Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  • Serve with Greek salad and tzatziki sauce for dipping. Eat and enjoy!
